Albania confirmed Monday that France has included Albania on its list of safe countries, meaning that Albanian nationals won't be granted asylum or be allowed to stay on the French territory for the purpose of seeking asylum. According to Albania's Ministry of Interior, the number of Albanian nationals seeking asylum in Belgium and Luxembourg also has declined during October-November 2013 period. The ministry said its French counterpart had returned Albania on its list of safe countries. The decision has been published in the official gazette of France with immediate effect.
