Prime Minister Edi Rama has called on Italian entrepreneurs to increase investment in Albania, particularly in vocational training, national news agency ATA reported Thursday. Rama said at a business meeting Wednesday that economic relations had been boosted between the two countries with his recent trip to Italy, in which he presented the advantages of investing in Albania, including geographical proximity, a low cost labor force, the tax system and strong government support for investment creating jobs. Italian Ambassador to Albania Massimo Gaiani also highlighted the importance of making vocational education and training priorities on the agenda of bilateral cooperation. Italians made valuable contributions to vocational training in Albania in 1930s, when many vocational schools operating in the country were managed by Italian experts, according to Rama.
