Albanian police on Thursday seized 13 illegal immigrants from Eritrea and Somalia when they arrived at the Jorgucat village, 20 km off Gjirokaster city, south of Albania. Sources from Gjirokaster Police said the immigrants were planning to land in Italy through Albania's Durres Port, local media reported. Gjirokaster border police blocked over 200 illegal immigrants last year, mostly from Afghanistan, Iraq, Tunisia, Syria and Palestine.
