The Algerian diplomacy \"spares no effort\" to provide \"candid\" and \"substantial\" input on the major international issues, Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci declared Monday in Algiers. \"Today, in a more and more complicated international context, the Algerian diplomacy spares no effort to provide candid and substantial input on major issues the nations community, whatever are political, economic, environmental or related to global security,\" Medelci said in his address on the occasion of the inauguration of the exhibition on the Algerian diplomacy \"50 years of diplomacy: memories and achievements.\" In this regard, the minister underlined that the fight against terrorism and cross-border organized crime represents \"an absolute priority for all.\" Mentioning the progress achieved in terms of diplomatic and consular coverage, the minister said that Algeria \"is honored to be present (through its embassies) in a large number of brother and friend countries and also host an important number of embassies, consulates and representations of several international and regional organizations.\" The foreign minister hailed quality of Algeria relations with all its partners. \"I would like to assure them all of our willingness to reinforce our cooperation and invite them to explore the mutually advantageous possibilities of partnership,\" he pointed out. Moreover, he insisted to pay homage to the elders who marked the glorious pages of the Algerian diplomacy during the national liberation war, and particularly to President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika \"who, at the forefront of our diplomacy, continues his high contribution to defining the national foreign policy.\" He also paid tribute to all the diplomats killed while performing their duty and those held hostages by terrorist groups, ensuring them that \"everything is implemented by the Algerian government for their safe return.”
