Kuwait\'s Ambassador to Brazil Yousef Abdulsamad discussed with officials from the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul ways to develop bilateral ties between Kuwait and Brazil both politically and economically. Ambassador Abdulsamad, during an official visit to the Rio Grande do Sul state with the delegation of the Arab Ambassadors Council, met with the state\'s governor Tarso Genro and mayor of Porto Alegre, the state\'s capital, Jose Fortunati, said a statement by Kuwait\'s Embassy to Brazil, received by KUNA. During the meeting, both the governor and the mayor expressed their solidarity and interest in the consolidation of the Arab-Brazilian relations as well as their support for the Palestinian cause. The Arab Ambassadors Council visited the headquarters of the state\'s Federation of Industries and met with its representatives who stressed the openness and willingness of the industries to promote and capitalize on business deals with Arab countries, noting that Kuwait is one of the largest importing Arab countries from the state with a value of USD 87 million, noted the Ambassador. Ambassador Abdulsamad also stressed the importance of such visits, which strengthen Brazil\'s political and economic communication with the officials in order to identify possible cooperation opportunities as he welcomed them to visit Kuwait to discuss matters of mutual interest.
