Amnesty International called Wednesday on Egyptian authorities to open investigations into the causes of killing tens of protesters during the events taking place in Egypt. In a statement, Amnesty appealed to the Egyptian authorities to comply with the procedures for autopsy operations, and identify the real causes of death and not to manipulate with the medical reports in order to facilitate the work of investigation committees. It also called for stopping the use of military and police forces against protesters and to avoid killing of protesters even those who tried to attack the security men. The testimonies on the incidences that took place on Monday which killed more than 50 people confirmed that the army and police forces deliberately began shooting protesters without being exposed to any attacks. It expressed fear that more casualties might fall with the announcement of Egypt\'s Muslim Brotherhood to stick to demonstrations until the return of the ousted president Mohamed Morsi to office. Amnesty has documented in a special report the testimonies of those injured and families of those killed last Monday as well as other victims in Alexandria who all blamed the security forces for the events. The report revealed that at least 88 people have so far been killed and more than 1,500 others wounded in various Egyptian cities.
