A conference aiming at reaching a new international agreement that strikes a balance between fighting terrorism and human rights kicked off here on Monday.
The event is organized the International Network for Rights and Development with the participation of representatives of 40 countries suffering from terrorism.
The conference will also discuss steps to be taken at the international level to fight terrorism from the perspective of human rights.
Participants will also discuss security challenges like growing extremism, oppression of civil freedoms and the increasing number of foreign fighters.
