Foreign Ministers of six Arab Gulf countries began preparatory talks Monday evening ahead of the 34th GCC Summit, to be held amidst crucial regional developments like the ongoing Syrian conflict and Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah is chairing the ministerial meeting. The meeting is attended by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Omani Minister of responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Bahrain's Foreign Minister Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmad Al-Khalifa, Qatari Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Atiyyah and UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Qergash, in addition to GCC Secretary General Abdulateef Al-Zayani. The foreign ministers will be discussing draft resolutions and final communique to be referred to the GCC leaders during two-day summit, which will begin tomorrow. The GCC consists of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
