Speaker of Arab Parliament Ahmed Al Jarwan met with his Latin American counterpart Blanca Alcala, on the sidelines of the fourth international conference for parliament speakers, to wind up in New York on Wednesday.

The two sides discussed enhancing cooperation and coordinating stances at international forums, a statement by the Arab parliament said.

Alcala underlined the importance of enhancing parliamentary work for the sake of world security, peace and development.
