Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby left here for New York on Wednesday to take part in a high-level meeting of heads of regional and other organizations slated for Friday and Saturday.

The meeting, to held by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, will cover ways to enhance cooperation between the UN and regional and non-regional organizations.

Araby is expected to meet with Ban on the sidelines of the meeting along with a number of UN officials to probe the latest developments in the Middle East.
