Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil el Araby returned home on Thursday after a several days' visit to New York city.
During his stay, the AL chief participated in a high-level meeting by heads of regional and other organizations.
He took part in the meeting at an invitation of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
The UN-sponsored meeting discussed ways of boosting cooperation and joint action between the UN and regional organizations to achieve peace and security in different world countries.
During the gathering, Araby pointed to the great international interest in the recent Arab League Summit's decision on establishing an Arab joint force to maintain security, peace and combat terrorism in the Arab region.
