Cairo - MENA
The Arab League (AL) meeting, due to be held on Tuesday, will consider Libya's request on providing the Libyan army with weapons to fight terrorist organizations there, Deputy Arab League Secretary General Ahmed bin Heli said on Sunday.
In a phone call with Al Arabiya News Channel, Bin Heli said Arab states have to stand with Libya to fight Daesh militants, who destroy everything in the country.
The fight against Daesh terrorists is a national responsibility, Ben Heli added.
This comes on the sidelines of the AL emergency meeting that will be held at Libya's request.
The AL meeting is expected to tackle Libya's motion to provide the Libyan army with weapons to face challenges and regain all territories controlled by Daesh fighters.
