Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil el Araby and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will ink an amended agreement on October 3 to develop joint cooperation between the two bodies, Deputy Arab League Secretary General Ahmed bin Heli said on Wednesday.

The deal will be signed on the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, he added.

The reason behind amending the pact is the recent developments at the international arena, according to Bin Heli.
