Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil El Araby on Monday welcomed the signing of the Agreement for Peace and Reconciliation in Mali by the Coordination coalition of armed groups in Bamako.

In a statement, El Araby hailed the Algerian-led Mediation team for their efforts to bring the signing process to a successful completion.

He added that the agreement is an important step on the path towards peace and stability in Mali.
