Arab League Secretary General Nabil el-Araby held consultations with head of the current round of the Arab Foreign Ministers’ Council and Libyan Foreign Minister Mohamed Abdulaziz on Saturday. The talks took place hours before the start of the extraordinary meeting of the council, which convenes upon the request of Palestine. The consultations touched on issues tabled on the council’s agenda regarding the track of Palestinian-Israeli negotiations and Arab steps to support the Palestinian negotiator. In the same context, Arab League deputy secretary general Ahmad bin Hilli held talks with chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat.
