Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief and Defense Minister General Sedqi Sobhi held talks with visiting Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov and his accompanying delegation on Monday.

The meeting took up several issues related to promoting partnership and a number of agreements between the two countries.

The Russian official hailed Egyptian army efforts in fighting terrorism and laying the foundation of stability and security in the Middle East region.

Sobhi said he hopes the coming phase would see more cooperation with Russia in all domains in light of a recent visit by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Russia.
