Cairo - MENA
The Armed Forces denied a Monday report
published by Sout al-Omma newspaper, claiming that security measures had
been tightened in the Maadi military hospital for a visit by Suzanne
Thabet, the wife of former president Hosni Mubarak.
Mubarak has been recently moved from Tora jail to the nearby military
hospital to be treated from a health setback.
The paper alleged a room was devoted at the hospital to his son Gamal
to accompany his father. It also claimed that Egypt\'s former first lady
would visit former military commander Lt. Gen. Abd Rab el-Nabi Hafez, who
is also treated in the hospital.
The report was categorically dismissed by military spokesman Ahmed
Mohammed Ali said in a statement.
\"It\'s unfounded,\" Ali said.
