Syrian President Bashar al Assad met on Sunday with Russian Envoy in Damascus Azmatullah Kolmohammadov and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Assad thanked Russia for its strenuous efforts to solve the Syrian crisis.
Preparations for the second round of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue to be held in Moscow were probed as well.
Kolmohammadov, for his part, lauded the Syrian stance towards political initiatives aimed at stopping bloodshed of the Syria people in every way possible.
