At least nine people were killed and 55 wounded Saturday in a double bombing at a market north of the capital Baghdad, said police. An initial bomb attack was followed by a car bomb at the market in Tuz Khurmato, a town 170 kilometres north of Baghdad. According to dpa, there has been a sharp rise in attacks in Iraq in recent months, targeting crowded places including markets, coffee shops and mosques.
