Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Thursday that one Syrian was killed while nine others injured in mortar attack on the Russian embassy in Damascus, the Voice of Russia reported. "Russian citizens have not been injured. One Syrian has died and nine people, including Syrian security guards of the embassy, have been injured. The embassy building has sustained insignificant financial damage," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. "The growing number of mortar attacks carried out by militants from the central part of Damascus, including the attack on the Russian embassy, is decisively condemned. We regard them as terrorist acts whose perpetrators as well as those who encourage such attacks must be punished," the statement said.
