Vienna - MENA
Austria's President Heinz Fischer welcomed Sunday an initial agreement signed earlier by Iran and the six major powers on Tehran's nuclear program.
Fischer, in a statement, said the deal would be a starting point for more steps to ensure Iran's peaceful use of nuclear power.
He also voiced hope that the pending issues would be solved by summer.
This step comes in line with the international community's endeavors to make the Middle East free of mass destruction weapons, Fischer said.
