The Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa today wished, in a press interview with Akhbar Al Khaleej, Iran would start a new positive start in the upcoming period, noting Iran is a prominent neighbor country in the region, and looking forward to a positive response from the Iranian leadership after HM the King took the initiative to congratulate the Iranian President, Hassan Rohani, on the occasion of winning the presidential election in Iran. He stressed the importance of the ministerial level meeting between the GCC and EU countries, which is scheduled to be held in Manama, tomorrow, pointing out the agenda will include a number of matters, including the discussion of the latest developments in the region, Syrian crisis and the Palestinian cause, and will review political consultation and cooperation between the two sides on the issue of fighting terrorism. The meeting will also review developments of the free trade agreement between the two sides. In regard to the EU have not put Hezbollah on the terrorist list, during its last meeting, the Foreign Minister said that matter concerns the EU and we will not discuss their decisions, adding we will adopt our views, in respect to the situation in the region, and will hear theirs.
