Minister of Human Rights Affairs, Dr. Salah bin Ali Abdul-Rahman, today received Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Nayef Rasheed Al-Dulaimi of the Republic of Iraq to Bahrain. Human Rights Minister wished the Iraqi Ambassador success in his new diplomatic mission in Bahrain, and gave an overview of the human rights developments and human rights democratic progress made through the issuance of a set of legislation and laws target supporting the human rights in Bahrain. The minister underlined the government's extensive efforts in the implementation of the recommendations of the Human Rights Council and the issuance of the voluntary report that will be submitted before the Human Rights Council in later time this year, which highlights Bahrain's seriousness on the implementation of its obligations before international forums and its respect for human rights, as guaranteed by the constitution. He highlighted teh Human Rights Ministry's future programs aimed to the dissemination of the culture of human rights at all levels to enlighten the community on human rights issues. Iraqi Ambassador expressed gratitude for the warm welcome received and resolve to develop bilateral relations in development, economic, cultural and human rights areas.
