Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met here today, in the presence of the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Lt. General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, a British delegation led by the Secretary of State for Defence Philip Hammond, who was accompanied with the British Defence Senior Adviser to the Middle East Lieutenant General Simon Mayall and Chief of the Air Staff in the British Royal Air Force (RAF) Air Chief Marshal Sir Andrew Pulford, currently on a visit to the Kingdom to attend the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS 2014).The BDF Commander-in-Chief reviewed with the delegation the outstanding friendly Bahraini-British relations and ways of strengtheningjoint cooperation and coordination in all fields, especially the military and defence ones.He highlighted the importance of such meetings in consolidating the existing distinguished bilateral ties.The meeting also touched upon issues of mutual concern.Inspector-General Major-General Abdulla Hassan Al-Nuaimi, Royal Bahrain Air Force (RBAF) Air Vice-Marshal Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and the Commander of the Sakhir Airbase Air Vice-Marshal Mohammed Bahassin Al-Musallam.
