Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received here today the outgoing Russian Ambassador to Bahrain Viktor Smirnov.
The BDF Commander-in-Chief commended the efforts exerted by Ambassador Smirnov throughout his tenure, which, he said, contributed to consolidating the existing friendly bilateral ties, wishing him every success in his future diplomatic assignments.
The Defence Ministry's Undersecretary Major-General Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed AL Khalifa, and Director of Military Security Major-General Mohammed Saad were also present.
