Deputy Premier Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa has today chaired a meeting of the ministerial committee for social services affairs, media, transport and telecommunications. The panel discussed a memo submitted by the minister of health on reducing the prices of medicine in line the Government’s keenness on ensuring affordable prices for all citizens. The panel spotlighted a memo tabled by the minister of social development on promoting the social umbrella and ensuring compensation for people affected in their livelihood by accidents. A second memo submitted by the minister of health on the national demographic committee and the population policy also came under the spotlight.
