The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met Federica Mogherini, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
The minister lauded the EU's great role in settling conflicts and achieving world security and stability and reviewed with Mogherini the close ties between Bahrain and the European Union and ways of bolstering them in all fields as well as political and security developments in the region.
Mogherini valued the role of Bahrain and its keenness on deepening relations with the EU, lauding the Kingdom’s efforts in maintaining world security and peace.
The meeting also touched on other issues of common interest.
