Bahraini FM Khalid bin Ahmed

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, participated in the meeting held in Riyadh between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Foreign Ministers and the US Secretary of State, John Kerry.
The GCC Ministers of Foreign Affairs reviewed with their US counterpart the historical close relations between the two sides and their progress in all political, economic and other fields.
Discussions covered the latest Middle East developments, particularly the Yemeni case, the Syrian crisis and the threats posed by the terrorist Daesh group as well as the impact of their menace on regional security and stability as well as the best way of confronting those threats and challenges.
Secretary Kerry briefed the GCC Ministers on the latest developments of the American-Iranian talks on the Iran’s nuclear issue.
