The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received in his office copies of the credentials of Vagif Garaev, the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The minister welcomed Ambassador Garaev and expressed appreciation of the close relations between the two friendly countries and their progress in all fields.
He also affirmed Bahrain's keenness on broadening cooperation, wishing the ambassador success in his new mission to serve the interests of the two countries and peoples.
During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest were also reviewed.
