UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Tuesday that South Africa has lost a hero and a father, adding that the world, as well, has lost a beloved friend and mentor. This came during Ban Ki-moon's participation in the funeral of iconic South African leader Nelson Mandela. Speaking at the memorial at FNB stadium, he said this "boxer" fought throughout his life for each of us. "It is the duty of all of us who loved him to keep his memory alive," he added.
