A twin blast rumbled across southern suburbs of Beirut on Wednesday inflicting at least two deaths and scores of injuries, security sources said.A security source told KUNA that one of the explosions took place close to a Lebanese Army barracks in the district of Beer Hassan, and the simultaneous explosion happened near a building housing the Iranian cultural center.George Kattani, the chief of the Lebanese Red Cross, confirmed the two explosions killed two people and wounded at least 38 others.TV channels have been showing the chaotic scene of the twin explosions, with a crowded street littered with damaged cars and items, along with damaged facades of nearby buildings.
