Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders Thursday called for dialogue between all parties in Egypt to ensure an inclusive democratic transition. In a statement, he stressed the importance of refraining from any act of violence and repression against the population and politicians. He called for adopting a peaceful process, involving all political forces. Reynders hoped that the new government will lead the country to compliance with the rule of law and ensure fundamental rights and freedoms of all Egyptians. Given the developments of the past few days, he said the non-essential travel for Belgians to Egypt is discouraged, except travel to the tourist areas of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aqaba.
