Sanaa – Saba
The UN Secretary General\'s envoy to Yemen on Wednesday said that sabotage attacks on Yemen\'s infrastructure, oil and gas pipelines and electricity cables increase the suffering of Yemeni people, especially the poor. \"These criminal attacks cost Yemen a lot of money and it is time to punish the perpetrators of these crimes,\" Jamal Benomar said in an interview with the Yemen News Agency (SABA), to be published on Thursday. He stressed that the world showed solidarity with the Yemenis and demanding to punish those, who are responsible for such vandalism, which aims to undermine the political process in Yemen. The UN envoy said Yemenis have achieved a major success in the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) that has come out with many vital outcomes, which will be relied upon to draft a new constitution. The month of Ramadan will be an appropriate chance to assess the progress of the political process in Yemen.
