A terrorist attack that targeted the main electricity line in Sheikh Zuweid and Rafah left both North Sinai cities, and nearby towns and villages, in a complete blackout, sources said.

Residents in the area complained that water supply, depending on electricity, was also cut off, calling on the authorities concerned to settle the problem.

A source at the electricity company said that efforts were under way to repair the main line damage.
