Three people were killed and 13 others wounded on Friday in separate explosions targeting two mosques in western Baghdad, a security source said. Twin bomb explosions targeted people while leaving Ali Ibn Abi Talib Mosque at Nafaq Al-Shurta neighborhood in west Baghdad, leaving three people killed and nine others injured, the source told KUNA. Meanwhile, four people were wounded in a bomb blast near Suad Al-Naqeeb Mosqu at Al-Ghazalia Suburb in west Baghdad, the source added Security forces cordoned off the site immediately and those injured in the bombings were rushed to a nearby hospital.
