Algiers - MENA
Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika suddenly terminated the tenure of Algerian Ambassador in Paris Missoum Sbih and appointed instead Algerian Ambassador in Belgium Amar Bendjama. Bouteflika\'s jaw-dropping decision to terminate the mission of Sbih who served as the Algerian ambassador in Paris for eight years raised many questions, Algerian papers said Wednesday. The papers said either Sbih committed a mistake during the president\'s stay in Paris since April 27 for treatment or the 77-year-old diplomat was seeking to be relieved from office. The presidency suddenly told Sbih on Monday that his mission was terminated and that Bendjama was appointed instead.
