Britain’s Prince William with Abe

Britain’s Prince William visited Fukushima on Saturday with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to attempt to allay safety concerns in the prefecture due to the nuclear disaster, the Japan Times reported.
The 32-year-old Duke of Cambridge, who arrived Thursday on his first visit to Japan, ate Japanese cuisine made with local ingredients at a dinner hosted by Abe at an inn in the city of Koriyama.
The prince and Abe also took part in a tree-planting ceremony to wish for the early recovery of the prefecture from the 3/11 natural disasters and the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear crisis.
