British Ambassador to Bahrain Iain Lindsay has strongly condemned the blast that occurred in Al-Dair village yesterday, killing policeman Abdulwaheed Mohammed and injuring another, offering condolences to the family of the deceased. In a statement issued on Saturday, Ambassador Lindsay said that the "Government of the United Kingdom backs the National Dialogue on the political theme, and the request of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to take all necessary procedures for that." He welcomed all steps taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain so far, noting that the only way to achieve stability and peace in Bahrain is through the all-inclusive, constructive and real dialogue that addresses all legitimate demands of all Bahrainis. The British Ambassador called upon political and social leaders to condemn violence.
