British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond

British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Philip Hammond began Wednesday a two-day visit to Algeria to discuss boosting bilateral ties, Algeria Press Agency reported.
Upon arrival at Houari Boumediene International Airport, Hammond was greeted by his Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra.
This visit reflects that the two countries will deepen political dialogue and consolidate and promote the political, economic and partnership, a statement by the Algerian Foreign Ministry said.
On the occasion of this visit, both parties will also exchange views on a wide range of issues of regional and international issues, the statement added.
