All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate General Muhammadu Buhari has won Nigeria''s presidential election.
This is the first presidential poll won by an opposition party candidate in Nigeria's history.
Buhari's rival Goodluck Jonathan conceded defeat and congratulated him.
Gen Buhari was ahead of Mr Jonathan by at least three million votes.
A BCC report today quoted an APC spokesperson praising Mr Jonathan. "He will remain a hero for this move. The tension will go down dramatically."
