The Prime Minister, HE Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al Thani, presided over the weekly regular Cabinet meeting held this afternoon at its Emiri Diwan premises. Following the meeting, the Deputy Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, HE Ahmed Bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, stated the following: At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet reaffirmed the State of Qatar’s recognition of the National Coalition of the Forces of the Syrian Revolution and Opposition as the legitimate representative of the Syrian people. The Cabinet welcomes the important and constructive outcomes of the Syrian opposition meeting in Doha on November 8-11, during which an agreement was reached to establish the National Coalition of the Forces of the Syrian Revolution and Opposition as an important development and a major step, and looks forward to taking next steps towards a quick political transfer of power in order to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people and lead to ending the bloodshed.
