Cairo's Interpol, in coordination with the Italian authorities, managed to rearrest a fugitive who ran away from prison during the January 25 Revolution.
Acting on a tip, Cairo's Interpol was able to recapture Hamda Ahmed Mohamed Shahine, who had been sentenced to life in prison.
He escaped from Wady el Natroun Prison during the revolution and illegally traveled to Italy.
Cairo acted in coordination with the Interpol and the Arab Criminal Police Office in Tunis to catch the fugitive.
