A friend of San Bernardino attacker Syed Rizwan Farook has been arrested on a charge of providing material support to terrorists, Sky News reported on Friday.
Enrique Marquez, 24, faces three counts, including unlawful purchase of assault rifles and defrauding immigration authorities.
The US Justice Department says Marquez and Farook plotted to carry out attacks in 2011, including throwing pipe bombs on a California highway and targeting Riverside Community College.
Marquez is also charged with illegally purchasing the two AR-15 assault-style rifles Farook and his wife Tashfeen Malik used to kill 14 of Farook's colleagues at an office party on 2 December.
