London - KUNA
New US secretary of state John Kerry was holding talks with David Cameron Monday on his first foreign visit, it was confirmed here. Kerry is due in Downing Street on the initial stop of an 11-day "listening tour" that will also take him to Berlin, Paris, Rome, Ankara, Cairo, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Doha. The conflict in Syria, nuclear stand-off with Iran and Middle East peace process are expected to be high on the agenda. But the Falklands is also likely to come up - with Washington under pressure to recognise the result of a referendum next month on whether the islanders want to remain British, officials said. Kerry, who arrived last night, will hold a press conference with Foreign Secretary William Hague in London this afternoon after their meeting.
