British Prime Minister David Cameron

British Prime Minister David Cameron met with Queen Elizabeth to agree on forming the cabinet.

"David Cameron (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this afternoon on the conclusion of the coalition government, during which Mr. Cameron informed Her Majesty of his willingness to continue his commission as Prime Minister," said Buckingham Palace in a statement on Friday.

"Mrs. Cameron was also received by The Queen," the statement said.

Cameron and his Conservatives won a resounding victory in the British general election, with nearly complete results on Friday showing that the party had secured an overall majority in Parliament.
