A car bomb was detonated in northwest Pakistan Sunday, killing 16 people and injuring 25 others, police said. The bomb was detonated in Bedhber by remote control as a paramilitary convoy patrolling the area passed by, CNN reported. Police said about 88 pounds of explosives were placed in the vehicle. The blast killed 16 people, including a woman and three children, and injured 25 others, Dawn News reported. Three vehicles were destroyed. It was not reported whether any group claimed responsibility for the bomb. Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the attack and prayed for an early recovery for those injured in the blast.
