US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter met on Friday night with Selim al Jabouri, the speaker of the Iraqi parliament, to discuss the latest developments regarding the military campaign against Daesh militants.

They also talked about deploying additional US troops at al Taqadom base in eastern Anbar.

Carter and Jabouri stressed commitment to working together to eliminate the terrorist group of Daesh.
