The celebration commemorating the 60th anniversary for holding the first Asian-African Conference in Bandung wrapped up on Friday.
Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab participated in the celebration on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
During the celebration, Indonesian President Joko Widodo said that the peoples of Africa and Asia will realize their aspirations through solidarity and partnership.
He called for stopping all acts of violence and continuing to work for the independence of Palestine.
Mahlab extended thanks to all participants in the conference, reiterating that friendship, solidarity and freedom represent Bandung principles that should be maintained.
"We have no other option, but solidarity to achieve our dreams," Mahlab said.
After the celebration, the participants toured Bandung museum and then performed Friday prayers.
