China said it hopes all parties to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty to promote dialogue and hold an international conference on establishing a region free of nuclear weapons in the Middle East as soon as possible.

Responding to a question by MENA correspondent here, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying called for committing to the three points of the NPT, which are nuclear weapons disarmament, nuclear non-proliferation and peaceful use of nuclear energy.

The US has been obstructing the issuance of a final document of the NPT review conference.
