China stresses the importance of meetings between Chinese and Arab officials, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said on Monday.

These joint meetings help boost ties and cooperation between China and Arab nations, the spokesman told MENA.

Egypt will host on Tuesday the first session of the strategic and political dialogue between China and Arab nations at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.
